Sport: Football/WR
Age: 20
Height: 6-1
Weight: 165
High School career: Zimmerman was a two-year letter winner for the Jaguars and a two-time all-district selection. In his senior year, he played in only four games because of broken collar bone. However, he still caught 31 passes for 531 yards and three touchdown passes. Zimmerman also lettered in track and was a district champion in the high jump.
College: Originally with the Naval Academy, Zimmerman was enrolled in the prep school but broke his leg during the season. He transferred to SMU, where he was a walk-on. As a freshman in 2006, he saw late-game action against Arkansas State and Sam Houston State. In 2007, he appeared in all 12 games but caught only eight passes for 130 yards. Zimmerman, however, could get an expanded roll in new coach June Jones’ run-and-shoot offense.
