Katie Corbitt

School: Marcus

Sport: Women’s soccer/FB

Age: 21

Height: 5-8

High School Career: Corbitt lettered for four years at Marcus under coach Kevin Albury. A captain her senior year, she started all 34 games for the 2005 Class 5A state championship team. She was also named to the state all-tournament team. Marcus honored her as the 2004-2005 female athlete of the season.

College: Corbitt signed with the University of Oklahoma and is about to enter her senior year and become a four-year letter winner. In her first three years as a defender, she has started in 45 out of 56 games and been a two-year starter. Corbitt scored her only career goal as a freshman in 2005. She earned Big 12 all-academic honors in 2006. The women’s soccer program is now under the direction of first-year coach Nicole Nelson, who was an assistant at the University of Texas.
