DRIVEN! Coming to FMYSA

The Flower Mound Youth Sports Association will have a new feature this year as Tony Casillas’ DRIVEN Youth Football League is coming to town.

According to the FMYSA Web site, www.fmysa.org, "If you are interested in getting more information about the upcoming league, please go to www.drivensportstraining.com and submit your contact information. Once registration is set up, you will be contacted about times, dates, locations, coaching and important information about the league."

Gall Offers Soccer Camps

Marcus soccer coach John Gall is conducting youth speed camps this summer.The date and times of the speed camps are as follows:

Aug. 4-7: 8:30-11 a.m.; 6-8:30 p.m.

The speed camps will be held at Castlewood Soccer Field on Fairfield Lane in Highland Village. The cost is $100 per player.

According to a news release, the "back-to-back Class 5A state champion head coach is offering several camps over the summer break. Don’t miss the chance to train with the champions."

Mustangs Win Haslet Association

The Haslet Mustangs 10U baseball team won the Haslet Sports Association championship on May 31 with an 8-6 victory against the Haslet Muckdogs.

The team represented the association on June 2 against the Ponder Lions, winning 13-2.

Team members include Davis Bradshaw, Nathanial Polizzo, Joshua Crawford, Matt Horak, Byron McIntire, Beau Renteria, Matt Musgrove, Jacob Pritchatt, Garrett Barnes, Blake Ross and Brayden Conner.

Sean Lacroix, Doug Barnes, Jeff Ross and Mike Musgrove coach the team.

Texas Sting Tryouts Set

The Texas Sting 13U AA baseball team will have tryouts this August, and is hoping to draw players from the towns of Justin, Haslet, Roanoke and Trophy Club.

Texans Royal Wins JYA

The Texans Royal 8U baseball team took first place in the Justin Youth Association this year, finishing the season with a perfect record of 16-0.

The Texans Royal defeated the Texans Scarlet in the JYA championship game.

Team members include Keillor Holland, Jack Peterson, Zack Newman, Bailey Belcher-Gerrek, Lucio Camacho, Tristen Crawford, Tomas Camacho, Landon McCartney, Christian Healer and Blake Jamison.

The head coach is Chuck Healer, and assistant coaches are Jerry Newman, Mark Peterson and Mike Holland.
