Flower Mound softball coach Wendy Massey has talked about her team’s mental toughness throughout the season, and last weekend, the Jaguars had to put it to the test.

After falling to L.D. Bell in Game 1 of the area round of the playoffs last Thursday, the Flower Mound baseball rebounded with good pitching and timely hitting to take the next two games and move on to the regional quarterfinals.

While things did not go exactly as planned for Emily Mathis at the state tennis meet last weekend, the Marcus senior said she was happy with her performance, and is looking forward to going back next season.
