After falling to L.D. Bell in Game 1 of the area round of the playoffs last Thursday, the Flower Mound baseball rebounded with good pitching and timely hitting to take the next two games and move on to the regional quarterfinals.
While things did not go exactly as planned for Emily Mathis at the state tennis meet last weekend, the Marcus senior said she was happy with her performance, and is looking forward to going back next season.

When Jack O’Brien tried to determine who his major competition would be in this year’s TAPPS state track and field tournament, he needed look no further than his own house.
The Flower Mound baseball team took care of business in the opening round of the playoffs last weekend by defeating Grapevine in a three-game series, and coach Steve Stinson said the road does not get any easier for his team this week.
