LETTERS to the EDITOR

Dear Editor,

My husband, Chief Warrant Officer 2 John Cox, is being deployed to Iraq on June 8. Through project "Evergreen," local business owner Jim Featherston has been providing lawn care services weekly during the rigourous predeployment period. He will continue to mow our half-acre lawn for the entire year my husband will be gone.

I have three children, and it is amazing that people are taking what they have and pitching in from home to help our military families. We are humbled and very grateful. Aside from Mr. Featherston, my entire cul de sac has jumped on the wagon and have been baby-sitting my children, making me meals, and doing everything they can to fill the void left by my husband.

We are blessed.
