What can we do as a community? Flower Mound has a population of about 61,000. With more than 28 percent of that population being under age 15, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented, kid-friendly community. Flower Mound has many nice parks throughout the town, but I think we can do better.
That’s right ... this year February has 29 days – this is a Leap Year.
I’m going to be real up-front and straight about this ... I don’t understand not being environmentally correct.
In the article on the Lewisville school district AA+ bond rating in the Jan. 18 issue of The Messenger, John L. Martin Jr. was incorrectly identified. Martin is the senior vice president of public finance at Southwest Securities, the district’s financial adviser.
Some things need to be said repeatedly – especially to children.
