A string of robberies in Flower Mound, Highland Village and Lewisville has prompted the Police Department to seek the public’s help catching the robbery suspect.

Five robberies have occurred locally since March 12, with the most recent last Thursday and Saturday in Flower Mound.

At about 7:34 p.m. on July 10, an unknown assailant entered the Walgreens at 1101 Cross Timbers in Flower Mound and handed an employee a note.

"The suspect handed the clerk a note stating he wants narcotics and that he has a gun," Flower Mound Police Department Lt. Wess Griffin said. "He says in the note that if it takes longer than a minute he will start shooting."

Police officers responded less than one minute after being dispatched, but the suspect already fled the scene in a silver Toyota Celica.

Witnesses were able to write down the license plate as the suspect fled the scene Griffin said.

"We believe the suspect is responsible for four robberies," Griffin said. "He has used the same car in all the robberies, but uses stolen license plates."

The suspect’s first known robbery was on March 12 at about11 a.m. at the Flower Mound Pharmacy located at 1001Cross Timbers Road. The suspect struck again on May 21 at 9:40 a.m. at the Walgreens located at 1103 West FM 3040 in Lewisville and again on June 29 at about 1:49 p.m. at the Walgreens at 2360 Justin Road. in Highland Village.

Witness accounts describe the suspect as clean-shaven white male wearing wire-framed rectangular glasses. The suspect appears to be in his mid-20s. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs roughly 175 pounds.

The suspect wore a camouflage baseball hat and jacket and appeared to have short brown hair. He also wore red and white gloves and grayish-brown pants.

Several still photographs and a video link to surveillance captured at the Walgreens during the Highland Village robbery are available at www.flower-mound.com

In an unrelated, isolated incident, Flower Mound Police arrested two robbery suspects last Saturday after they fled the scene of the crime.

Dale Burns, 29, entered the Tom Thumb at 745 Cross Timbers Road and acted like he was purchasing items.

After the clerk opened the register, Burns grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store.

An employee chased Burns into the parking lot where 22-year-old Elise Fuller was waiting in a car.

The employee attempted to remove Burns from the car but was knocked down as Fuller sped off.

The employee was not seriously injured and was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Flower Mound police officers located the vehicle Fuller was driving in Lewisville and a pursuit ensued by both Flower Mound and Lewisville Police departments.

Due to heavy traffic in Grapevine, police were able to stop and arrest both suspects.

This is an on going investigation and anyone with additional information about this crime can call the Crime Tips Line at 972-539-0525.
