The Lewisville Noon Rotary Club presented PediPlace with a check for $23,894 at its July 9 meeting.
"PediPlace is one of the most critical social service organizations in Denton County," Lewisville Noon Rotary Club President Russ Kerbow said. "PediPlace provides medical care to thousands of low income and uninsured children."
Accepting the check was PediPlace Executive Director Larry Robins.
"The mission of PediPlace is to provide high quality health care for children in Denton County who have no access to such services due to economic, geographic, and/or cultural barriers," Robins said. "PediPlace depends on the generous support of the Lewisville Noon Rotary Club and other benefactors to provide critical health care services for the most vulnerable citizens in our community."
The donation was made possible thanks to the area businesses and individuals who support the Rotary Big Fore Charity Golf Tournament held each spring.
Half the proceeds from the tournament are given to PediPlace, with the remainder distributed to other area charities.
The Lewisville Noon Rotary Club meets at noon on Wednesdays at The Grotto in Highland Village.
