Middle School Field Trip Funded by Flower Mound Spa

Each year the eighth-grade faculty at Hedrick Middle School in Lewisville arranges a trip to the Dale Jackson Career Center [DJCC].

"This provides all of our students the opportunity to see and understand all of the programs that are located at DJCC," Hedrick Principal Peter Taggard said. "Most people, including our students, don’t understand the variety and the complexity of the different programs located there."

One of the programs at Dale Jackson Career Center is the Cosmetology Program, and graduates of the program have worked at Cloud 9.

Owner Kim Cloud is a believer in what DJCC has to offer.

"It allows students to get their career training while they are in high school," Cloud said. "It is a great opportunity for them to find out if what they’ve chosen is truly the career avenue they want to pursue."

Cloud and the team at Cloud 9 Salon and Spa are dedicated to giving back to the community, and helping children is one of their favorite causes
